Hopefully you can get a few good ideas for your pool renovation by checking this one out. This project was a 30 year old + pool that was in need of a face lift. The clients decided they  wanted to really turn their backyard into an outdoor oasis. So we put our design skills to work and came up with a plan to achieve that goal.

This scope of work for this project is quite large. As you see in the photos we demolished all the pool decking, surrounding knee walls and also the spa that was built into the end of the pool. We removed the existing pool steps and the end wall of the pool. This was done so we could add a tanning shelf and new larger steps into the pool. Tanning shelves were not around back in the old days, at least not around here. We then laid out for new footings for the new walls. After pouring the footings we built the new walls in the new locations. A fire pit and new spa was added and built to match the new walls. We also added a fountain underneath the covered patio. This feature will have a travertine tiled wall with a scupper dropping water into the basin. The swimming pool is in the process of being brown coated (cement with sand) for pool tile installation. The whole pool is going to be tiled with 1" x 1" tiles as is the spa. Then two shade arbors will be built and all new pool equipment installed. It is going to be a very nice pool when it is done.
